Alexander McQueen: Working Process: Photographs by Nick Waplingt
In 2008 Alexander McQueen commissioned photographer Nick Waplington to document the creation of his Fall 2009 collection--all the way from inception to runway shows. Unfortunately, it was to be the last Fall/Winter collection that McQueen would stage before his untimely death. This show, which he titled The Horn of Plenty, found McQueen revisiting his 15-year archive of work and recycling it into a new collection.

At VCC, we are committed to movements, not moments. We’re taking what we’ve learned since 2020 and forging ahead to find new ways to support communities in Virginia and beyond. During our quarterly Learning Exchange series, More Than a Moment, VCC and our partners will discuss the need for sustaining and building on the fighting spirit we’ve all embraced in the pursuit of more equitable communities.

Community matters to us.
It is our mission to promote a better quality of life for Virginians. We have several community impact programs focused in areas of need to spur economic growth and revitalization.
Find lending that takes your project to the next level. We back real estate developments and small businesses that foster job creation and help build vibrant communities.
VCC was established in 2006 by a group of bipartisan Virginia legislators. Seeded with a $15 million state-backed seed loan, our mission was to create a business model to attract resources of national, state, and local social investors to make a difference in underserved markets around Virginia. Since our founding – growing and partnering with others along the way – we have turned this original investment into more than $1 billion in statewide impact. Learn more about the VCC story.
